Paseo owner joining the ranks!

Recommended Posts

Just want to say hello and introduce myself. This is my standard newbie member message. My name is Cris. I am a married father of three and a small business owner selling car parts (aftermarket performance and Toyota OEM parts, I get Toyota Service News and catalogs...it's great as a Toyota fan boy!). I went to tech school for electronic technology technician for two years and to college for electronic engineering for 3 years until I decided to pursue my first love which is cars. I am a former Chrysler repair tech (3 years), but due to hard times and circumstance, I am a stay at home dad right now. I have been an installer for several large retail chains for a total of ten years, and was a certified 12volt electrical tech at Chrysler, so I know a little something about wiring. I have owned several Toyotas including two MKIII Supras (one turbo and one that was converted to turbo) and I currently own a 1992 and a 1996 Toyota Paseo. My 92 Paseo has a 5efhe in it now, but has had a 4efte before and will soon be a 5efhte DIS. My 96 Paseo is near stock for now, but has a 4efte DIS build in the works. I have been working on Toyotas since 1994 and cars in general since I was 9. I have done engine swaps, rear disc brake swaps, turbo kit installs, pretty much everything but major body work. I hope to contribute as much as I can to this online community. I'm sure some of you know me from one Toyota site or another as Paseo15psi or Paseo Racer. Thanks in advance!

My cars are both stock looking exterior wise because I live in New York City and it is impossible to keep a body kit nice. I will post up some pics of what I have soon, but both cars are "works in progress" and most pics are of my rear disc brake swaps and various suspension parts. Thanks for the warm welcomes.

The Starlet hasn't been sold in the USA since it was rear wheel drive. Being a Paseo owner that has been tuning for the past 14 years on these cars has made me familiar with the Starlet. I found this site looking for another Starlet site that I visited years ago, but forgot the URL for, lol! I am a long time member of Toyota Starlet GT Turbo, but don't post much there anymore since they went to the paid member structure. I belong to too many other web sites to pay for membership at any one. I have pics spread to like 5 different web sites, so it takes awhile for me to gather them all and post. Also, that is the point of my sig, to give you an idea of my cars and parts that I have for them. I have a storage room full of parts that can't be installed yet and it's sad. Thanks again for the welcome guys.
