Uprating my EP91's Handling

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am a complete novice when it comes to Starlets, as some of you have probably recognised!!!

I want to uprate the handling on my EP91 SR and I was wondering where to start? I don't have an unlimited budget and I'm not that fussed on lowering the car but if it's the only way I will.

Please help

in short its not really a cheap thing to do

1st off you want it lower ideally on coilovers but shocks and spring would do

then ARBs would be the next thing to do

also make sure you got decent tyres

good handling is no good if you got arrowspeeds etc on

first things first you wna get a rear arb and anti-lift plates that changes the car no end

then coillies or shock and springs whichever is your poison

big thing for the handling too tho get good brakes and maybe some strut braces

Thanks for the fast replys!

It's my only car, I don't use it every day though and when I do use it I use it on the street and on country roads, not on track though.

Where about's would I get rear arb and anti-lift plates from?

Thanks again

shock and spring combo, anti lift and rear arb, front and rear braces. will see a good improvement with that. will not be too harsh for the shitty roads either.

try toytuning or dave burwash mate

This is pretty much the setup I'll be going for next year, should do the job. I was going towards coilovers but decided against them as it's going to be more of a street car than a track car.

front, strut you can get the glanza or cusco etc stiffens up the front struts

rear, theres more options than i can remember lol strut, pillar bar so on n so forth

anti lift plates for the front

rear adjustable arb or fixed

coilys not really for a daily driver in my opinion

shocks and lowering springs- dependant on your alloys and wheels also

there is currently a groupbuy going for the anti lift plates and rear anti roll bar, supposedly the best 2 things you could ever buy can`t give my own opinion because i dont have any ill be getting some real soon tho
