Removing The Cat

Im having a load of hassel removing my standard cat so i can fit my nice shiney wepr one, ive removed all the bolts, including the ones holding the cat to the engine block, the damn thing just wont budge from the turbo!

Anyone got any hints and tips??

honestly if i pulled any harder my arms would have came out of the sockets. seems pretty stuck on there! its a complete cock of a thing

Pissing in the wind here but maybe try some WD40? It works for stiff bolts...

tryed, gona let it soak in overnight, just realy posted to find out if theres a trick to it. obviously it just requires brute force and alot of swaring

If that fails there's always the sledgehammer. Just make sure you're accurate.

Bolts at exhaust x 3 - done

Bolts at exhaust brace - done

Bolts at turbo X 4 - done

Bolts at cat brace X 2~5 - done

Sensor connectors X 2 disconected at the plug, sensors still in cat

Still wont fucking move its late now tho, will have a go after work.

just get a thin flat head screwdriver and get it in the there,once its in go around the side and do the sime,being careful not to cause any damage, should come off a treat.

If WD40 does not help, buy some Coca-Cola. That stuff also works as an WD40(not a joke).
