Being Followed Home For A Chat

I'd just finished work 2 night and on the way home i saw this Seat Leon with tinted rear lights and though hmm

Cant remember wether I had a play with him or not lol

But then after dropping this girl at work home

(the uder long way due to road closures, bloody road works)

I saw this Leon pulled into a bus stop as i drove past gave him a bit of a dumpy chatter for kicks and he began following me

I just thought lol entertainment for the way home, played with ze boost up to the speedlimit as usual (I'm far to paranoid to break the speedlimit)

But then i turned into the main road i live down and he followed, I just thought he'll go to Tesco (next road up from my house) he didn't...

He followed me to my door and i pulled up on my drive,

At this point I was a bit worried it may have been the fuz or that I was going to get carjacked or something terrible like that

So i asumed the worse (as then it doesn't take you by surprize)

I got out and this lad got out of the Leon (sitting in the passengers seat with a lad in the drivers seat and on in the back still in there) and we had a little chat about starlets He new mine was a late spec EP91 and just said about any chance I'd sell it.

Obviously I said no...

He also said about is my brother selling his (DannyG) so im guessing he knew we were brothers? (he's selling it in April but its staying in the family and my sisters having it )

Could of seen us convoying about together or occasionally when i used to go into my bros old college 4 him to practice sports massage on me we park next to each other, then also at work to as we both work at the Odeon

But he said about wanting one and wanting to drop a 2.0 supra turbo engine in it and turn it 4 wheel drive (which would be fairly epic if he did do it)

Pretty expensive though

Could of gone to my bros college doing mechanics maybe?

He also asked wether i was on here (UKSC)

So im guessing he's in the market for a starlet or parts...?

Which is the bit that worries me as I've heard storys of peoples starlets being robbed and sitting in garages having parts ripped off them and sold

Turns out i recognised the lad though as he used to go to my school (he was a few years below me) and his parents own this pub half way between my old school and my house (the swan in loose for any local lads who know it)

But yeah it was just a bit random really, he seems nice enough though and when him and his mates drove past after turning around they gave me a beep to say bye

Im not sure wether to be scared for my car or think wikid might have another local starlet soon to come along to meets and stuff its kinda wierd though being followed home, a bit like on no someones followed me home and now knows where I live...

Also well done if you'v read this far as its turned into a bit of an essay

i have randomers coming up to me in petrol stations etc just saying wow havnt seen one of them in a while and it just goes from there

loads of poeple in my town know me through my car not me myself. if its like round here where im the only starlet for miles then people recognise me by my car

dont worry too much for now he may just like starlets mate but dont be too trusting just incase

I was just a bit like errr this is strange so I thought I'd throw up a thread on here

I vaguely knew the guy he didnt look dodgy and his mates looked a lil on the chavy side but they didnt have that

'My mum and dad have beaten me all my life and nobody loves me so i think i'll stab you for fun' kinda look about them so i kinda thought I'm not going to get robbed

I think i remember this lad being like the lil kid who wanted to be liked by everyone and would talk to the bigger kids to look good infront of his mates etc

But i dont really remember him other than for the fact his parents owned this pub to be honest

Also yeah the cars alarmed and immobilised and I've got a big yellow steering lock from my SR in it to (Only put that on in dodgy areas really though)

I was thinking about getting it trackered when I first got it to just to be on the safe side but never really looked into it to be honest

Im not to worried about getting bum raped until it actually happens really, I'm more worried about my baby, bumrape i can handle destruction or steelige of the starlet I'd be monumentally upset

Im the only late spec V really local that I've ever seen, Seen a few GT's and other glanza's but theres about 6 or so others that live in and fairly local to town and a few more a bit outside town

But it was just that fact they followed me home which rang warning bells

Dont think my cars about enough for people to recognise it to be honest as i dont really go driving much as such and just tend to head to and from places unless cruising about looking for photo spots (but I've not done that in the V due to dead camera and before that Joe_EP91's car being fixed)

My V's pretty much standard to, other than the dumpy valve and being dropped

No hideous 20" alloys to define it in the local modding scene yet

Record what happened somewhere and tell loads of people

Keep a record of his name (if you know it) and Reg Plate

Go on ebay and get one of those dummy video security cameras and set it up looking at your V so that its out of reach of plebs

Buy lockable gates for your drive (if you can)

That way you have covered everything

This happened to me i was driving home from football i was at some traffic lights and there was a silver glanza behind me i thought someone had robbed my car until i realised i was in my car haha he followed me not wanting to race just driving along he pulled up at the side of me and just asked why he has a bonnet scoop and i had the bonnet bulge i explained, and told him about UKSC but never seen him on here but do see him driving round sometimes.

I was a bit worried at first as i couldnt see i on the drive when i woke up though

My mum had moved it to get her car out... so no robbing there

The only other time I've come into contact in a similar way was sum dirty pikey in a golf was riding my ass beeping through a 30 and when the road opened up he overtook me and cut me up then stopped and got out and like the cunt he was started telling me my car was a turbo and i should drive it like 1...? ie drive it like a prick?

I'd only had the car a bloody week to!

Dont think im gna go as far as camera's outside my house and dont think the next door neighbours would appriciate gates on the drive as its a double drive (Also its not a dodgy area, one of the nicest locally in fact )

But i was kicking myself i didnt get the guys plates just encase

I tend to do it in carparks if i park next to a car that looks like the owners dont care about it (i try not to though) or if parked in tight spaces along roads where you've gotta parallel park, just encase as we all kow some people cant parallel park for shit

I do tend to follow/talk to other starlet owners and walk away with phone numbers a fair bit though, if only it worked that easily with girls....

Any time I thought I was being followed in the GT I would take some random turns without indications to see if they follow, if they still are I never went down my road, I'd go to a local petrol station, if they wanna talk then best in a well lit up camera'd area, plus they dont know where you keep the car on a night!

that a good idea drive around and arond and around i do that some time but i go into the bogs near my mums and open it up i don't do that in the starlet it a tad bit low and my shocks are f****d most poeple follow me in and then get stuck

happened to me 1ce. 4 wee neds follwed me in a burgandy clio, theres an old thread about it on here. they followed me for a while and i got a bit paranoid and got out of the car to ask what the fuck they wanted and noticed the clio was snaped and plugged, the little basterdds wer trying to follow me home to find out where the car parked. i told them what i thought of them of course and what would happen if they tried again lol
