Recommended Posts

hey folks! just bidded and won a glanza on ebay yesterday...

Its a fresh import to the UK, however i cannot hpi it at all...

It is registered cus it has a reg number and the blokes said it is registered (revolution motors) manchester.

Does it take some time to go through on the hpi? or should it be instant...

I tried doin insurance quotes, again, they cudnt get the car thru the reg plate....

Is thi dodgey or as i first though does it take some time to go onto the UK's system??

I spoke to "HPI" on the phone and they told me to be very suspious of the car :s

Anyone that can shed some light on this i be very pleased!

Matt.

just spoke to dealers on the phone and they said they have all the infomation and details, the logbook, import papers etc... but they said it can take some time to get onto the UK database.... Does this sound legit?

send me the link for the dealer in manchester with pics off the car

its the truth, n sometimes when you hpi an import it comes back with the wrong car.

according to halfords my reg plate is on a toyota hilux surf import when it clearly isnt! (and yes the log book is right)

HPI's on Jap imports is a bit of a hit and miss isn't it?

The reason I say that is because the history will all be in Japan, unless data was transfered from Japan to HPI's database. Also I had trouble with insurance picking up car for what it was, mine was picked up as a toyota corolla or something. Pretty sure they just reuse previous plate nunbers that aren't in use. Give all your details of car to insurance so they fill in core insurance details, as you are not providing plate number for auto filling fields on their database.

White 98 spec, it doesnt get any better than that

Im sure everything is fine with it mate, its just because its a fresh import so wwont have any UK history as the Jap history is hard to get hold of

Hpi works on insurance claims

So as its a fresh import there wont be any UK history on the car.

My glanza has toyota coupe on the V5

Told my insurance company that it was a starlet glanza.

If you dont, your insurance will be void in the case of a claim.
