Hou Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Currently looking at setting up a little side business supplying quality car detailing products. What products do people use to keep their car up to their high standards?Already looking into stocking Harly Wax (you might not of heard of it be trust me it rocks) and PoorboysGeo - Not sure what the turnover will be but just wondered what the costs were to be able to trade/have a little subforum etc? Will be offering special discounts for UKSC due to being on here (and the old site ) for so long. Wanting to put banner in my sig etcObviously don't want to break any rules Quote
Turner Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Good luck with it mate I use Auto-Glym stuff, not really tried anything else because I like it Turner Quote
Hou Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 Yeah I used to like Autoglym but have seen and tried different options now. Seems a lot of people pay for the Autoglym name, they certainly overcharge retail customers in comparisson with their trade customers. But after a bit of a fall out with them and a lack of communication I doubt I will be stocking them Quote
Hou Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 Will look into getting them too then!I also want to try and import Soft99 products as they are so JDM: Quote
Hou Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 I know, most of their products look JDMtastic! Quote
Georgie Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 They look brill, would be good if you brought them in, id give them a try Quote
Hou Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 Well I have contacted soft99 for them as it seems I cannot find anyone in the UK supplying them.Got a feeling many JDM lovers will buy them just for teh looks "I'm so JDM I import my wax from Tokyo!" Quote
ep_brad Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 i tend to use zymol products but recently ive started using dodo juice i bought this kit of ebay last month http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dodo-Juice-Diamond-W...=item2a084c8201 Quote
Hou Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 Looking into Dodo juice as that gets good reviews too! Also might have some handmade carnauba wax, using all natural stuff but that will depend on development lol Quote

Hou Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Hmmm prob a bit far from Leeds then Rob Basically, I want someone near that wants me to wax their car! Obviously they will have to wash their car, and polish it if they want to, and I will just wax it using my harly wax for themHell, I might even polish it if they supply a brew or two Quote
drew 007 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I haven't seen clay bar mentioned yet guys?? Quote
rob_bower Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 yea a bit far from leeds dude about an hour os so!! oh well it will have to do with the new stuff ive just ordered!! Quote
Amjad Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I use Meg's Shampoo plus, a JDM clay bar , Autosmart Berry QD, Auto Glym SRP, Collinite 476 wax & Meg's Tyre shine Quote
Hou Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 What JDM clay bar is it and where did you get it from? This Harlys is very similar to Collinite 476, but I think it gives a far deeper shine Quote
Hou Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Still too far, should narrow it down, anyone near Leeds Quote
Galliano Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I used to use Megs three stage (Paint cleaner, polish and carnauba wax) but recently bought a tub of Turtlewax Ice Paste and christ that does well IMO! Also hides small/light scratches well too, and works really well on black trim! And then I use Autoglym Tyre Dresser. But, if someone tries this JDM stuffs, I shall be interested! Quote
