wssoR Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Basically im aquiring extra parts an respraying them ready for a full matte black paint job, what im not sure about is whether i should be laquering parts, would this effect the 'matte' effect, any info as to whether i should or shouldnt would help, also an alternate product if their is. CheersRoss Quote
Dan507 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I have some friends. Who have sprayed there push bikes matte black and they never lacquered it. Likeyou said it ruins the matte effect. Quote
LukeSR Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Surely you don't lacquer the finish because then you will loose the matte effect? I don't know Quote
wssoR Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 ye that was my origional thought as said, but then ill be worried about it stone chipping easily Quote
5T4R7ET N/A Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 if you lacquer the parts they will go shiny.i don't know if they do a matte lacquer, be good if they did. Quote
durmz Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 If it stone chips, just bang on some more spray, but of the beauty of matte black lol Quote
james@cjperformance Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 as said above they will go shiney, just keep a couple of tins of matt black paint in your boot for touch ups.laquer is a pain in the arse when it chips so matt is the way forward Quote
