well,..time has come to get another starlet turbo..

previously had;

white glanza v, gt advance, white gt ,black gt (all quadlights)

and now,...

i got it with 'head' issues,but later realised it was the bottom end,either way my intention was to buy a forged engine,and ive put a deposit down on one today.

current spec is,

team dynamic 2.1s 15"

D2 coilovers

front and rear strutbrace's

blitz decat

zisco ram style mani

tong hybrid turbo

5 zigan *spelling* exhaust

catch can

recaro seats and rails

to fit,..carbon eyebrows and blitz bov

spec of the engine ive put deposit on is..

Wisco Low Compression Pistons 74.5mm

Scat H-Beam Forged Conrods

ACL Bottom End Race Bearing Kit

...Block Professionally Rebored and Honed

ZEP 1.2mm Head Gasket

Ported and Polished Head

Heavy Duty Valve Springs

265deg Billet Cams with 8mm Lift

New Toyota Cambelt Kit

New Toyota Water Pump

New Toyota Oil Pump

New Toyota Engine Gasket Set

plans are to get management,good tyres (for track) and big brakes!

ryan, nah i moved back up to the isle of arran in scotland.

enzo,.i swapped my clio 172 for it(advert is on here for it),so equivelent of 2.6k with bottom end gone.

glanza-love,is such a sound guy.

Ah you bought gariochs engine did you? he ran mental power on it so should be a strong and reliable engine you've got there, good luck with future plans mate.

well i hope all goes well in the new engine anyway mate ill be keeping a very close eye on the car as i still feel its my baby just hurts to know i dont have it anymore..

Thanks for the nice comments,I'll have an update on Saturday as ive don't some cleaning and stripping in the engine bay.

Aiko it is,lol. I'll keep that name for her.

UPDATE:.....................

well ive been busy.

had the car home since sunday night (12/09/10)

since then ive:

-taken stickers off ,funkypower, d/s glanza, toms ..refer to first pics

-sound deadening from wheel well (used a hair dryer to sorten it,..love auto glym tar remover!!)

-cleaned inside engine bay,replacing rusty bolts with clean ones

-took off,mani,decat,turbo, power steering,all air-con, rad, drained oil

-heatwrapped last 3rd of the exhaust.

to do,..

-heatwrap the mani, rest of the exhaust (decat is done)

-aluminium civic size radiator

-magnicore leads

-remove interior and take all the sound deadening off,and put the carpet back in (for warmth.

have to detatch all the sensors ect so the engine is ready to come out,ive just been cleaning as i go.

the exterior is not polished yet.

Update:

Engine is in and running 12psi,had to swap knock sensors as the one I got on the other engine was gooses.

Plan is to get it mapped at 1.2bar and I'm sure she will be nippy. Cams are great,really loving the car. Will update with pics and a video once weather let's me.

lol,i picked the engine up last saturday and had it in the sunday night :-)

release bearing has gone on the clutch tho.

UPDATE:

forged engine is in,

rear stripped ,sound proofing from boot removed

im going to change the turbo set up,somthing abit bigger,vf23 or td04/5 not 100% yet.

need to change my clutch release bearing so now is the best time to swap i guess.

thats where i have mine mounted too :mellow::) my brother's too, although to be fair the instructions with the Willans do state that a less steep angle is preferable to dropping them right down behind the seats, i thought where mine are was grand, it was my local rally guys that installed them.

also, lookin gooooooooooooooooood man! health to enjoy!

Yeah there not really anywhere else to put them is there?

As your not supposed to mount to the strut brace where i have seen and heard its dangerous?

Have sen some mount to floor bars behind the seats? what about that?

My harness is attached just below the ledge bit where the rear seat bench sits (at 90 degrees to the floor), at an approximate 60 degree angle to the harness holes I'm guessing?
