GUTTED once again and keep up the good work, remember use 600 wet and dry on all shell caps, place the paper on a totaly flat serface and thn rub the caps with the bolt hole flats contacting the paper, + tap in the main bearing caps into the registers with a plastic hammer as the caps are a snap fit. check end float and shell crush also. miib14 Posted February 11, 2011 Author Share Posted February 11, 2011 the heads gone to clip engineering for skimming..the crank isnt bad, but he is going to pick up my old engine (n/a) and see whats the crank condition of that... if thats better then use that.... if not then this ones going for regrind... miib14 Posted February 11, 2011 Author Share Posted February 11, 2011 there is a little voice at the back of my that keeps on saying " should have stayed N/A" and then theres another which says " it will be all worth it "lolsaw a 4age 20v today and thought i could have had that... and it would have been n/a with 168bhp...but turbos are easier to get more power out of... yaristurbo Posted February 14, 2011 Share Posted February 14, 2011 im sure thats the main journal numbering, have you had the the crank checked, as you cant get shell bearing if it wiped the crank out to much i have had that trouble when my engine got spanked. id get all them cams, head, and block all acid dipped to clean all the crap off as it looks like there been some bad opil in a some point. i may be wrong but its worth doing, trust me. only trying to help mate tell me to piss off if ya want lol.hope it all goes well for ya matey, text me if ya need and helpdanny Quote Link to post Share on other sites
