TrisK
id be interested to to know thisalthough i thought for classic insurance, it had to be standard, and you had pretty limit mileage (as it expects it not to be your daily)
Nanglebadger
there also tends to be an age requirement for the person as well tho, like 25 or 27 or something daft.be very interesting to hear how u get on dude! let us know!Phil.
Dan507
As above. Classic insurance is wayyyyy cheaper than normal insurance. Iirc the car needs to be over 20 years. I'll talk to my grandad about it. He has loads of classic cars.

Guest skyinsurance
Classic insurance is usually reserved for second cars with minor modifications, kept in garage, limited mileage, age restrictions on drivers etc

Glanza_cl
To get a classic policy you have to be of a certain age (according to car type), it usually has to be a second car and has to limited to a certain mileage per year.If it was as simple as just ringing up a classic broker and get a cheap policy everyone would do it.... and I've tried For instance, my mx5 can get a classic policy on it BUT i have to be 25, it be my second car and mileage is limited to 5k a year max.On the other hand at 21 you can get a Beetle (old school one) as a second car with much higher max mileage, all depends on the car really. GTturbo_auto
i had my GT on classic insurance before it is possibleand its my ONLY car not a second car with 10,000miles a year but the thing you have to remember is with classic car insurance you dont get no claims bonuses building up so it can be a pain in that respect!
