N80Jamie Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 From what i've read. If they're serviced when they should be, all the time, then they should go on for a very very long time lol. Quote

wssoR Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 There was a guy on here with an n/a with over 300k on the clock. All depends on how well its been maintained Quote
daz gt turbz Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 like any car mate you carnt tell when its going to but 150,000km isnt to bad. just make sure you start it from cold and check for smoke from exhaust or noises from the engine. Quote
ollie ryan Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 a glanza that has done 150,000miles?wouldnt touch itwhen you come to sell it itsnt never going to be worth a penny and my engine let go on 140,000km Quote

200bhp starlet Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 how cheap is very cheap because if you still have money left over just get another engine for it and forge it lol Quote
pagey Posted March 22, 2011 Author Posted March 22, 2011 how cheap is very cheap because if you still have money left over just get another engine for it and forge it lol£750 Quote
ollie ryan Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 if it was my choice as i saif i wouldnt buy it to keep, buy it to break it, make a bit of cash for a better lower mileage one Quote
addz Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 If maintained well, then the answer can be vast - like any good Japanese engine Quote
pagey Posted March 22, 2011 Author Posted March 22, 2011 ive had to glanzas before but as some of you older members will remeber them they was low mileage so cant compare lol Quote
200bhp starlet Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 agree with ollie break it get some money back then get a better one Quote
bucketep91 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 for 750 quid for a running glanza? id buy it even if the engine was fucked for that price Quote
ollie ryan Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 but when it comes to sell it, it will never be worth anything with that mileage on the shell! Quote
N80Jamie Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Mines on 140,000 KM and still feels spot on ;) Quote
Amjad Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Depends what you want really, I don't really wanna sell my cars in the future so I wouldn't be fussed as long as I'm happy with it ;) Quote
daz gt turbz Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 mines got nearly 100,00miles on it, it doenst realy bother me to be honest as mine is never going to be sold as a whole car. ;) Quote
Dan507 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 i dont understand why people get a boner about mileage, a engine could only have 50,000 miles and been ragged to fuck and have 150,000 and been driven nicely. at the end of the day 4efte engines arnt that reliable pretty much every one on the forum hows own a turbo starlet for a long period of time has rebuilt it.but my starlet has 70800 odd kms (46,000 miles) yeah its a bonus but not the main reason i bought it. Quote
Liam_D Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 4EFTEs are bullet proof if maintained properly! Ive seen loads of examples with over 140,000kms on the clock and they've still been rock solid. Aslong as its had regular oil changes and been warmed up and cooled down properly i really wouldnt worry. Quote
ollie ryan Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 yeah bit when buying a second hand car how do you no it has been maintained and always warmed up and let to cool down?people bullshit when selling cars Quote
