rocker cover torque settings???

need to refit my rocker cover and just wondering if they are any torque settings for them to be in?

every time i fit these they ALWAYS leak

using new gasket and new washers/nuts...

Im sure there is a DIY thread on here or Toyota GT Turbo about painting your rocker cover and the Torque settings are in there

Also when changing the Rocker Cover Gasket, i got told to clean the surface free of crap and put a little gasket silicone sealers in the corners where theres the little bridge bits that hold the cams in place, hard to describe really, but i did this and have no leaks what so ever

new gasket! i fitted a painted cover and it leaked after... neww gasket solved it... dont do them too tight... wants to be tight enuff to pinch but not squash the gasket!

aslo worth noting maye be worth getting the gaskets that go round the spark plugs aswell.

as when i first fitted mine i got a new cover gasket but mine leaked around the spark plugs. got the spark plug gaskets problem solved. and ye you need a tiny bit og sealent on the corners of cam carriers

As above its only 7nm, always advisable to replace a gasket if you have disturbed one

Are people checking the torque settings once the cars had a good run out.. i always nip mine up abit as the rubber crushes even more with the heat, i've never had one leak yet
