iamlegend Posted November 24, 2011 Share Posted November 24, 2011 right seen lews thread of compression results i thought i would take my oil cap off and see what happens, well let it get to temp,took the oil cap off and it spits oil every were and puffs air out of the hole also making a low whistle kinda sound? now surley this is not normal????? it does not smoke out of the exhaust or oil cap or make any noises etcwhat you think?? N80Jamie Posted November 24, 2011 Share Posted November 24, 2011 Is the rocker cover pressurised? You should try it again but take it off before you start the car. Only reason i say that is because you can't remove the rad cap when the engine is up to temp but you can remove it before hand and get it up to temp (usually to clear any air in the rad). Russleh Posted November 24, 2011 Share Posted November 24, 2011 its usually really bad when your rings are gone or piston ringland. i had mine off for about 1 second when mine was gone and it covered the wing and my tshirt in oil spatters. compared to having next to nothing on my hand when i rebuilt it and done the same. its the excess blowby. id do a comp test tho Quote Link to post Share on other sites
