Matt1878 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Just curious, Is it possible for me to get this? I have the standard top mount intercooler and running an SSQV.I get that a front mount would make a difference to the sound of the ssqv but is there anything I could do to get a nice flutter or chatter sound prior to getting a front mount?Cheers guys. EP91Bon Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Take your bov of lol, also having a relocated air filter makes a big difference! Quote
Ryan-11 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 take the vacuum pipe off the dumpvalve and block it off with a bolt. Quote
Matt1878 Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 Blank off the DV ChattertasticLarvely I shall be trying this very soon Quote
funny onion Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 What boost you running? Mines at 0.8 and mine just sounds sort of Like a horse sneezing lol. Still love it though! Quote

funny onion Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Yeah wasn't as chattery as i'd hoped but still sounds better than a dump valve imo i have an arc tmic and front mounted air filter. Quote
Mat-Richmond Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Need a fmic and air filter relocation to really make it chatter mate, I got ssqv and I can still get it to chatter on low revs Quote
Matt1878 Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 I just blocked off the vac hose going into the ssqv with bolt and jubilee clip ( had to do it here or id have blanked the boost gauge) I have standard top mount and a relocated air filter. Sounded quite nice tbh. Quote
RobSR Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 as mentioned it only really sounds decent if you have a fmic..on the standard tmic it sounds abit..well..poop Quote
funny onion Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 does sound a lot better with a front mount but you can still get the desired effect with a top mount! Quote
