Newbie EP82

Hi Guys,

Hopefully picking up a EP82 next weekend its my first starlet so looking forward to it alot. The car does have one draw back though which it is chucking out smoke from the exhaust the guy said its a little down on power but still boosts fine. He has had a little look and said there is oil in exhaust port 4 so I presume this could be the valve stem seals or worse piston rings? Any advice anyone can give will be awesome

If I where u before you buy it get the person to do a compression test on it first, could be very expensive car if you have to do alot of work to it

Welcome along bud. pick up another 4e for 400-500 on a good day so if the car is cheap enough or you can nock the price down then maybe worth getting and worst case swap the engine. can be done in a weekend easy enough ;)

Cheers for the comments guys I've decided to go ahead with it should pick it up tomorrow as the spec is fairly good I'm going to source another bottom end then forge the one I take out.
