mattyD
did you get the kit made for a 5e? i know the measurements of the block etc are slightly different
grum-glanza
em.... no i didnt its only one inch of a difference in the blocks the manifold is fine and the turbo sits fine its just the downpipe catches the rad and i dont no what to do
mattyD
what rad is that out of curiosity?
Ryan-11
what radiator are u running?
grum-glanza
its a custom triple core brass and copper rad all the messurments were taking from a 1 liter starlet rad which i was running for awhile
Ryan-11
that could well be why it doesnt fit, i think they may be made to suit a civic radiator, maybe worth giving Sacha a PMNice choice in turbo by the way ;) Edited May 22, 2012 by Ryan-
mattyD
what he said ^^ maybe try a triple core civic rad mate
scottyb
pretty sure ive seen some of these big top mount kits with part of the bar cut out to make space for the turbo, so you may have to cut it back a bit to make space?
Socks
This is why my GT30 was angled a bit. To allow clearance for a 3" downpipe which clears the Rad!Tbh tho, looking at where your radiator sits in relation to the front light support bar, a Civic Rad wont fix your problem, as the downpipe (further down) goes alot further out! My guess is you will have to mount a radiater in front of the light support bracket!
mattyD
your engine is so siiiiick! haha
Ricky@Race-Tech
I'd get intouch with Wepr, It looks like they have made an error, which does happen at times. I'm sure they will sort you out if you return it.
ryan lang
the difference in the 4e and 5e blocks is 1cm in height
grum-glanza
i got on to sacha he says use the civic rad but just looking at the pic of socks bay it wont work either his rad is coming out just as far as mine is now i think i need mine angled but i cant do that either because the turbo wont go under the top bar this is turning into a nightmare for me
00joeindastarb0
Your rad does seem further over to the drivers side than Socks but it doesnt look to be the issue.
grum-glanza
i think i may have a plan right im thinking of geting a rad made up to go under the top crash bar basicly where you bolt the rad, my rad will be under there behind the front mount and in front of the engine bay, stuck in the middle it looks like a twin core would fit there
00joeindastarb0
Why alter your rad location for what just might be a fabrication error
morgey
Tbh looking at what youve got space wise. the under slam panel rad looks like the best option and will look cool at the same time.Altho a slightly angled turbo wud work on a 4e I guess that lil extra height of the 5e has kinda shot u in the foot so to speak regarding spacing between turbo n slam panel.
