russ78 Posted January 12, 2013 Author Posted January 12, 2013 hybrid at that boost will be running very hot and blowing out hot air mate! mine at 1.2 bar was at that and had to sacrifice some top end power with the mapcan i ask was it a ct12 hybrid or ct9 as my old ct9 hybrid ran fine at 1.2bar but this has a much larger compressor wheel etc etc as it uses ct12 housing Quote
starletburkie Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 tongs spec gt hybrid mate! its all down to the stock restrictive exhaust housing imo. my one ran good at 1.0 bar and at 1.2 bar it made very nice toque however it had alot of detonation above 5500rpm in 5th so had to loose alot of power to have it safe Quote
Liam_D Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Turbo looks sweet mate will be interesting to see what power it pushes out Quote
russ78 Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 started stripping today ready for the forged build and found where my engine tried to grow legs Quote
russ78 Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 comparison of my two turbos housing size isn't that different but inlet and compressor wheel is hugely different Quote
