how to put in jam ecu properly ?

Recommended Posts

disconnect the batttery

swap ecu over

connect battery back up

start car and let idle for 10 mins or so

then take out for a few drives gently increasing the boost levels with your actuator until you have reached 1 bar or whatver you want to run............

I think thats it.............:)

No plug and play. Some people will say let it idle for 30 minutes when you first put it in, I never did I wouldn't waste the fuel and I was fine, whip up the boost and go enjoy!

Worth noting a number of people have done this and had to reset and idle it again, saves time getting it done first anyway rather than having to go back and do it again

1 - remove negative battery terminal,

2 - remove efi fuse.

3 - Remove stock ECU.

4 - install the new ecu.

5 - re-insatll efi and then the negative battery terminal.

6 - fire it up and leave it to ide for 15-20 mins,

7 - start driving but not boosting over 0.7bar for the first 100-200 miles.

8 - Turn the boost up to desired setting.

I noticed AFR was all over the place for the first 150ish miles it was running very rich when driving hence why i kept boost at 0.7 bar.

AFR became more steady after the 150ish miles thats when i turned the boost up.
