rasslenny
So ive noticed while going through the threds that all of you guys with ep82 have dials in your dash with a little needle in the middle for boost. Mine has some crazzy light up dial that i personally find pretty cool. Question whats the difference? I know they do the same thing but was just curious if its was a mk1 mk2 kinda difference
TrisK
It is like an orange circle, that fills up section by section as the boost goes up? additonally are all your warning lights down the centre of the dash?

TrisK
manual You have a mk1 GT turbo mate. They have different clocks, the rear glow badge, different rear lights, and square lights like the mk2 However it seems that someebody has changed yours to the mk3 quad lamps, and mk2 rear lamps

Jhandy
What's up with the glow panel, bulb? You can get them from Toyota
daniel_g
There are two weird looking bulbs in the glow panels. Mine were blown, have been told they are about 7 pound each from toyota.
rasslenny
i know that but there is definitely no way im getting those down here totyota doesnt stock them any more so
morgey
What your toyota doesnt or they're now discontinued? I've heard so many people being told somethings discontinued then a month later someone comes along and has just brought said item from there local dealsrship :s
rasslenny
The starlets were never sold by the Toyota in Trinidad people have imported them.from other Caribbean islands so yea no starlet parts unless other vehicles shared them .... Other wise its import or find after market parts not originals...Ooo the joys of third world living hahaha Edited January 13, 2013 by rasslenny
Johnboy GT
Toyota Dealership should take it in regardless. I can't count how many times Ive been to Toyota and had to wait for them to import the part.Unless customs etc is an issue in your country? John
morgey
You may need a part number for them to find it but they should be able to get it.If not PM idrees he should be able to get the for you and send them out there
Jhandy
Or you could just give some your address and get them to send u some from here to yours

daniel_g
You should be able to go into toyota with your vin/chassis numbers and get them mate. I was going to myself but couldn't get hold of the MK1 numbers. And an mint condition glow panel popped up so i just bought that instead.
Jhandy
Toyota dealerships are weird because as soon as your say I have a import ep82/91 you can just see on there face, that they want to smack you in the face for making them press a few more buttons then usual, but anything is source able like when I rebuilt my standard engine, I had to waiti like 2 weeks because the rings and Conrod bearings where is jap land and like 4 head bolts there also, only had 6 head bolts in England,
daniel_g
Yeah i can imagine it being a pain for them but its their job lol. Plus i know a couple of the parts lads up at toyota so its all good.
morgey
Yea at my place they love it, they're willing to bend over backward for ya, they'll find the part just from a description. Last time i went i had to show them what i wanted and the parts lad called up all the mechanics so they could have a nosey around my bay
daniel_g
Must be a mindfuck for them when you describe or show them your car morgey haha. And that happens daily, customers phone up or come in needing parts or info and we always need to bail the parts guys out haha.
morgey
Yea i really need to get a levin chassis number, would make both our lives easier, then i need to remember when im ordering bits which car there specific to haha
