starletburkie Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 never had a problem before the engine was removed! im not sure what it take i fill it up then bleed it and top it up again the put back the cap! it pushes the coolant out the bottle all over the bay so it needs to be fixed! Quote

gibby1980 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 i had this issue last month. Head bolt was snapped. Overflow bottle filled when on boost. Had to eventually lift the head and get a new Head gasket. My head wasn't warped luckily Quote
Danza V Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 (edited) I had a issue other week where mine wouldnt stop going flat turns out it was blocked pipes in cooling system and a shooody ebay rad cap!! were there any other symtoms of the headgasket failing mate?.. i mean lack of power or anything? TJust im intrigued by this Glad you got it sorted though! Edited February 2, 2013 by Danza V Quote
Bean Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 What gasket you going for? I can recommend an Athena, they have all the waterways cut out of them. Quote
starletburkie Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 there was no lack of power mate the hg looked worse for wear tbh so i was kinda glad it went so i could get a new one on there! my stem seals werent good either so i put on a good head i had there just got it skimed. i went with genuine toyota as i got it for 45 euros new from my local toyota! athena was an option but over twice the price when the stock one will be ok Quote
