boosting24/7 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 I've been offered a jam racing ecu, are there any good for a ct9 hybrid, can anyone give me some info on them please cheers ben Quote
Gainzy Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 If you want the best performance out of your car get a proper map like the emanage, the JAM ecu will fuel it no problem though if I was changing my turbo to anything other than stock would go for the emanage Quote
boosting24/7 Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Thanks gainzy, il look into them,How much is a jam ecu worth? Quote
daniel_g Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Some info in here. http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/48810-plug-and-play-ecus/ For price, there are a couple of JAM P&Ps in the for sale section to help gauge from. Quote
Gainzy Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 The ep82 JAM's seem to go a little cheaper around 450 so for the extra bit cash on top get yourself a precision map Quote
daniel_g Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Yeah right enough, EP82 P&Ps do go for less. There was a TOMs one a few months back that went for like 350 quid !! Quote
boosting24/7 Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 I no I missed that bad times lol, picking up a jam racing ecu and a toms front bumper for 470, Quote
Danza V Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 If im right but arnt JAMS rare? correct me if im wrong? Quote
scottyb Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Jam ECUs seem to be the most common i think. they pop up for sale alot more than toms and blitz ones Quote
boosting24/7 Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Thanks scottyb, looking forward to fitting it tomorrow Quote
Amjad Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Don't know why people hate on these ECUs, I use a Mine's one on CT9 and love it! Blitz tend to be the most common followed by Jam. The EP82 ones are harder to come by from what I've seen Quote
Addymk2 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 You can spend out on a custom map but then every time you do something pay to get it mapped again. I'm using my blitz till she's finished. Quote
boosting24/7 Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 Picked up my ecu and toms bumper..... fited the ecu, it is a different car all together now, best mod so far, I would recommend this ecu to people, a great bit of kit, loveing it Quote
Addymk2 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Had a feeling that would happen :-D great bits of kit and a good price for all the stuff you got Quote
scottyb Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Id love a jam or blitz ecu, just cant afford one for a while! Quote
daniel_g Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Same here. Theyre apparently cheaper if you source it from JDM yourself, but i dont have a clue how to work those sites haha Quote

They will even strip parts off cars for you if needs be.You pay your money into an account via PayPal which gives you bidding rights, he charges a smallish handling fee and ships as cheaply as possible. My ECU came labelled up as a g*ft lol Do itttttt :-P Quote
daniel_g Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Cheers for the info dude !! I'll check it out, really want an EP82 P&P ECU but they dont pop up for sale that often on here. Did it work out much cheaper when you bought yours ? Quote
boosting24/7 Posted January 28, 2013 Author Posted January 28, 2013 I got mine on ebay he listed it.then I bought it 5mins after he listed, and when I got there I bought a toms front bumper off him to and rear bumper tom corner things lol just lucky, mrs wnts a mines ecu for hers now Quote

daniel_g Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I think the TOMs kit looks really well but its very overdone, too many similar looking GTs these days sadly. Quote
