BajanHitman
Too lazy to mod this cold side pipe any more so racing radiator goes in Took the car to get some more exhaust ran Build director looking at exhaust height had to heat the pipe and angle it up some more Completed to the back wheel. had to crush bend to reach it but changed it when i bought a U J bend locally Wiring in or splicing in AEM EMS 4 Changed the intake manifold from stock 4efte to modified 5efe equal length runner with extended collection chamber for more low down to mid range torque. Manifold discoloration came from starting issues had serious timing errors. Car would not start and idle properly had the wrong teeth count in the setting Turbo set up off new one acquired. Went for sale Cleaning the head for port and polishing Aquamist water meth kit install Convertng 2.5 down pipe off turbo into existing 3 inch v band connection Head work begins Cleaning stock valves Shaving stock pistons to lower compression New turbo setupGreddy TDO5H-18G 2.5 down pipe 44mm external wastegate on HRF exhaust manifold. Head back on with manifold awaiting to find shims for the 270-272 or 274 cams not sure what they are. Underside before oil return hose attached Pre race day. AC parts removed (they were never working in the first place) Had to adjust this pipe it was angled down too much didnt look uniformed up front Manual boost controller installed. Solenoid not installed yet that will be sued as secondary boost controller as a fail safe
BajanHitman
Before swapping to Coil On Plug setup On my way to get exhaust fixed back strap broke had excess weight in the back My tuner/ build director/ fabricator's cardoes 550whp pump gas no water meth so far Annoying noise if it hitting Had some fuelling issues race day car was leaning out on high rpm at 16psi we tried changing fuel rail, injectors, pump. then we we installed a fuel cell with external fuel pump. Turned out to be a setting within the LSD itself. Boost, oil pressure, wideband, water meth flow guage Had spark blow out at 16psi change to coil on plug set up was quite simple. Beastmode panda
Damn that's cool as fuck man!! Some things are done a little different to the usual, like useing the n/a intake manfold? How come?
Chris Green
That's tidy mate seen a few unusual mods there! Its that a modded Corrolla intake manfiold?
BajanHitman
Yeh same guy wid the evo and my mechanic believe in those NA 5efe equal length manifolds once modified correctly by extending the collection chamber after the throttle body. Saw it done in Jamaica. Guy wid the evo had a Gi GT with built 5e engine he experimented with 5efhe acis manifold, 20v individual throttle body turbo manifold, 4efte manifold and this one according to his dyno figures produced the most low down mid range torque while still flowing great upstairs. Car did 318WHP @ 18PSI on same Greddy TDO5H-18G cant remember the rpm with cams. I'm hoping to replicate anywhere near those figures. I need forged pistons and rods but cant afford them right nowl. Forgot to mention my last mod was changing from ACT heavy duty pressure plate to ACT extreme pressure plate with stock clutch. Installed Dif gearbox with what I believe to be an aftermarket 1.5 LSD. It crunks under slow turns when on throttle or parking but doesn't if off throttle and i can feel it disengage when i lift. (bought the box off a hit gt starlet) Car was hit so hard it snaped the bracket mout off the gearbox itself. Had to get mechanic weld back up the spot with aluminum then I filed it down and drilled and tapped it and reattached the mount. Had an annoying water pump pipe leak and an even more annoying ghost radiator pump leak. Pressure tested the radiator no leaks. So while the box and starting motor was off i undid the ten at the back of the block and pulled the pipe that goes into the water pump off, cleaned it with sand paper and put in a new seal and put a healthy serving of black gasket maker on it. NO LEAKS YIPPEEE Old box off
BajanHitman
Driving experiences so far. We try to tune the car during the day in the hot sun cause thats when it will do most of its racing and driving. First day on the Greddy T517z car would not going to 17psi by 4500rpm. We later put a compressor on the wastegate to realise it was not working it was leaking badly. Got a 12psi spring from my friend which worked fine. Car drove at 16psi on Q16 race map rev limiting at 8000 rpm felt unreal this is without the lsd box. After turbo change to the Greddy TDO5H-18G car was tuned to 16psi but would go no further because of a leak by the throttle plate itself. Changed that and did pressure test then tuned to 20psi on Q16. Then went back on pump gas 12 psi with timing pulled back. Car felt great in first and second gear and would wheel spin constantly but third gear felt lazy like it needed more boost as my compression is so low. Did a 2nd gear pull wid a 4g63 and kept up with him till third when he pulled and vanished. But his words were if i up my boost he is going to go and spend money in parts because I'm not to catch him lol. Since then turned up to 16psi felt great. Then after the LSD box installation i swear my accel cable feels stiffer. But way less wheel spin i would get in first and if i flat my foot in second when it gets upstaris fresh wheel spin but not third. This only means one thing for me...............MORE BOOST. Car feels seems like its covering more ground but with less rpm I think. I'm new to this so time will tell. There is a racing event on the 16th Feb but I'm broke but I want to compete to see what times i get. On Friday going to test, turn on and tune the car with the water meth. Have had a 2.5 gallon can of meth there waiting for the longest while.
DaveKidd
Looking good man, a good little read i`ll keep an eye on this thread, nice to see what you guys in the caribbean are doing with your rides and a few things different at that like whats this meth water setup you guys use. BajanHitman
Most common water meth kit here is AEM then snow performance or maybe devil's. I got my aquamist second hand. Doesn't come with a pump so i had to source that outside. What i like about the aquamist is it has a flow guage. to show u exactly how much water meth you are spraying. Unlike the AEM which you have to purchase the gauge and sensor separately. Really pissed off at this HRF manifold. This is the third time I am welding it and this time was horrendous. Even the brace itself snapped. When i cut it off to get room to weld the manifold it could be seen that the brace was barely tacked on at the top Where it was previously welded New crack top right corner of pic Engine needs a wipe down Turbo and mani back on. Temp brac till a proper manifold can be made.
BajanHitman
Some previous images of car when it first got painted and before the paint and the reason for the paint. On some borrowed rims they are awesome OZ Alleggerita HLT Before the paint job Previous turbo setup Reason for my paint job Thats me on the sidewalk kissing the levin My first car One of my previous tubular manifolds would love it back now in my opinion better design and build quality than my present hrf Parked next to the best starlet that black gt has bigger valves, headwork, more aggressive cams than I do.bored out fully forged and everything lightened. Runs a haltech I think. My car before it was detuned and some parts removed. Made 264whp on the dyno years ago. Superb mani When i used to rock a Garrett GT28RS Both setups were mine. GT28Rs and GT28R T3 and T25 Flanged one was stock radiator friendly This HRF really has me disturbed. I need back my original manifold setups. Gonna get the guy that made both of those old ones make a new one my present turbo.
Glanza AuA
also from the Caribbean,Aruba those are some great custom made mani, you do those yourself ??

BajanHitman
We have no choice but to fabricate or order off ebay. Parts here are expensive. My intercooler and intercooler piping came from EBAY Godspeed. 109 and 78us 3inch double 90degree ehxuast pipe came form ATPturbo.com Fuel pump came from ebay i think as well or a source in the US along with the magnaflow exhasut. Flex pipe cost 60bds on ebay but here it cost 265bds. Made sure i ordered the ic piping with the bends i needed which was as many 90s as possible or U bends. Finally got my timing set back correct today. Set it yesterday using the timing guard but forgot i have on the 4e timing cover which differs from the 5e so I had to manually find TDC and mark it on the guarge then mark ten degrees on the guard and lock the AEM timing wizard on that mark. car feels normal again. Getting slight sputter upstairs thinking its noise interference with my wiring have to check that out. Racing is 16th FEB need 380 to race dunno if i will get it but I want the car ready for sure. Thanks for the support guys.

BajanHitman
My first event actually using a Tree system. i sucked at first. I still do. more pics to come but i did my best time againt my friend's civic this is an eith of a mile My car woud not put down the power had to launch car in second gear high rpm
Danza V
Wow, some serious work going on on that! Loving your work! looks epic in red! Launched itself pretty weel , who won? Edited February 17, 2013 by Danza V
BajanHitman
The civic won. I have to get sued to the light tree and practice my launches. The civic is a fully built motor. 2.1L with a huge turbo running 16psi at the moment. Second gear launch at 6500rpm
BajanHitman
My first Dragg event. It wasnt as easy as I thought it would be. The lights need getting used to. And I was never a good launcher lol. Car was tuned the friday night and I got to practice moving off the morning at 7. Burst a tyre I need way more seat time. Car was tuned the friday night on half shell half 109. Up to now I cant tell you what psi it was on or what afr cause I had no time to even look that side.My fastest time was 8.8 vs Manimal and that was due to me loosening up a lil.At one point my gear selector cable came off I had to pull off and place it back on.Was so nervous i could not remember what a 4 looked like even put on the 3 backwards My fastest time slip. Left the line at 8200rpm 2nd Gear no feathering Think its quite plain to see my reaction time and launch technique needs loads of work.
