rmsnoel
A few years back I learned that 96-00 celicas and Im sure a host of other toyotas had a shorter shift than our starlets. I got a gearshifter from the scrapyard and put it in my starlet. The end I wonder where Toyota-TRD get their £200 short shifters..
daniel_g
Very interesting, can you feel a difference ? And just an st202 celica ?
Jim*
might save some people a lot of money!
rmsnoel
Not even the gt4 one, just and ordinary one. Its the length of the lever below the pivot ball that makes the difference. A longer bottom lever gives more work below and less work for you above ie moving the gearknob. Anyone have a breaker they could measure the standard one.
morgey
I've got a local breakers with a few in, need a cheap short shifter for mine anyway so i shall give it a shot! Cheers dude

Amjad
Nice! Thanks for the info!
Addymk2
Does this work on EP91's aswell as EP82's? Because the short shifters usually have options. Could be worth a poke around a breakers one of the days though
Amjad
rmsnoel has an EP91 so I assume so. Waiting for someone to try it on a GT!
Addymk2
My bad I just saw the GT seat! lol
rmsnoel
Addy that was my old white sportif. Man she was some yoke. I stripped it out and fitted gt seats mounted further back because Im abit tallShould work on a gt, at worst you could have to use the celica lever in your mounting
