A L 3 X
Recently had my head gasket done and head rebuilt with new water pump cambelt kit etc and I think it seems to be since then, wondering if its anything to worry about or not? Maybe just the alternator belt a little tight? Seems to do it when revving it a little bit like so:http://s169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/_A_L_3_X_/?action=view¤t=6DA9547F-50E4-4B13-B3B6-53AA327DFB32-768-0000003C603AFA01_zps967e0792.mp4 Any ideas? A L 3 X
It's not loud as the video makes it seem mate, I held the phone as close as possible or it wouldn't be noticeable lolAny ideas?
Liam_D
Ahh right that makes sense, ive always thought it was my breather filter on my catch tank?? Have no idea though. lol
A L 3 X
It might be the one on my rocker but I'm sure it wasn't there prior to the work hence me thinking a belt :/

Sefton-EP91
Bet some one done the cam belt too tight. that will make it whine / hum Agree
A L 3 X
It was done by tuning developments so I'd hope not?How easy is it to fix?
turbo Grant
Just a case of undoing the tensioner nut if the spring is on and doing it back up. Best to take the cover off if your unsure rather than going throw the service hole. Or get someone else to chech the tension
A L 3 X
Ah so it's not a difficult job? Ill email Td now see what they say
Jamie1st
Check the lower cover isn't rubbing against the crank pully, had this happen to me over the weekend
A L 3 X
I'll have a look tomorrow mate, hope its easily fixed :/
rob_bower
If the cambelt has been over tightened it can starve the cams of oil which is never good.
A L 3 X
I'm gonna take it back to Td mate and they're gonna have a look at it for me!Cheers lads
Danza V
Mine was too tight and it did that, retensuoned and all good
A L 3 X
Took it back up to Td and they've said it's fine, it would apparently make the noise on idle as well if it had been over tightened
