Strange noise any ideas???

I changed a few parts on my car on Friday afternoon this is what I did.... Changed a autobahn intercooler pipe to a short pipe and changed my manifold to a ram horn one at the start it was fine and now it is making a sort of belt squel noise when I'm driving it is quite loud and does it between 2-4k revs. Any suggestions the only thing I can think of it all this snow we have had and possibly has got into my engine via bonnet scoop any suggestions on how to check or possible other things it could be would be great

You got a boost leak ? Is everything youve changed properly tight ?

gaskets, cracked manifold or its not sitting right on the head, 100%

yes, ^^^^^^ these do sound like a squeaky belt

Oh dammit it was ok tho and started a day after it all had been fitted

Yeah defiantly sounds like a boost leak or a cracked manifold. Get a listening pipe in and rev it up you should be able to hear it.

Rite ok maybe one of the pipes has sprung a leak I'm confident that the manifold is all good and bolted on correctly

definitely check the mani!

mine was out 1.5mm form centre to either end, and yes it made a whistling noise

Check the bolts that hold the turbo to the manifold as these tend to come loose, had this problem on mine at 2-4k hope you have got or get it sorted mate
