Well, my mates coming back from Hong Kong tomorrow, he has a saxo vtr (95-100bhp). He thinks its the quickest think since the invention of the jet engine. He has absolutely no idea ive had a Glanza for 2 weeks :lol::rolleyes: . So just how much quicker are we than the frenchies??

Cheers,

Alex.

As sparky said, ive seen plenty of n/a's giving the vtr's a run for there money,

you'll wipe the floor with a vtr.

Where as a vts is a different story.

Dan off here sold his black gt advance, and bought a vts.UBER rapid.

vts's will pull higher up the rev range and also higher speeds.Simply because the ct9 runs out of puff.

unless the fte is tuned

I costs mega money to get a saxo past the 160/70 bhp mark.

I got to drive a mildly tuned VTS (Chipped, full exhaust and filter) and that was ALOT of fun. Almost as much fun as the Swift GTI I had a go in!

And then I've drove my brothers stock GT which is a beauty too, but the Saxo handled alot better imo.

By driving the two, I'd have said the VTS felt quicker, but I'd obviously have the GT any day. But anyway I was wrong, my brother has a few tries with the same VTS and had him every time. Not by alot but he did take him out to 70ish! (And trust me, the Saxo driver is a better driver than my brother when it comes to this sort of driving!!)

All that was obviously on a private road

straight line youll be ok (not great, just ok)

and round corners, he will destroy you.

Well i did 1/4 mile in 18.3 and the VTRs were doin it in 19s

And i wouldnt be too sure about them killing us on bends

I have been on the arse of many on winding roads mate

All down to the driver at the end of the day

Sorry mate you confused me there with the 'also they dont?'

Explination please

Yea i agree VTRs are meant to be good round corners

All i am saying is that with a few suspension ajustments the starbo can be pretty good

As i said i have been on the arse of many (as there are loads around by me) and i cant say i have been overly impressed with them

Think they are a bit over-rated mate

what u mean they dont rick? N/a's dont give vtr's a good run or glanzas dont shit all over them? Im guessing the first bit, but i have also beat vtr's not by much but i have beat them. On a private road of course officer

this is never ending this topic is it cheers al for bringing it back up mate lol.

if we are talking standard v standard on corners a saxo will as much as it pains me to say hump a starlet of any variety but in the straight gt/glanza will kick its arse more so a gt  and that would be against a vtr a vts to tell you the truth never been in one never been against one but can't see their being much of a difference except at top end but by that time the gt/glanza is gone and mine has had light mods and can reach top end of 140 so can't see a vts being much of a threat to me  not that i am biased or anything as i like the vtr's/vts's but wouldn't own one.

BoostJunkie has got it almost right ;p

a glanza wouldnt kick a vtrs arse, it would just beat it. not enough to call it an arse kicking, and if you let it go on to 70+ MPH the vtr would pull you in and go past.

stock vs stock, im upset to say, a vtr is a much better car.

and a (healthy) vts will beat a glanza in a straight like and round corners.

Don't bother telling him really, he might want one :p Saxo VTR's are not quick, the VTS might be able to give u a go, i know the PUG 106 GTi can maybe give the glanza a run, handling wise is better too.

your mate must've seen a few glanza/gt's over in HK, even though the coolest car is a Mini if you drive one in HK these few years, because it's not Jap.
