Air filter td04

Right people i running a td04 hybrid setup on my 82, but i need a airfilter,

The only problem i have is that my turbo inlet is facing the side of my oil filter, so i have very limited space, approx 3" between turbo inlet and oil filter.

Am going to try a silicone bend but thats looking doubtful just due to the lack of room?

Surely other people must have come across this before?

I can get a silicone elbow on mine, but my intercooler is far too big for a filter.

Havnt ran a filter or mesh for a year now and it's been fine (apart from the melted pistons, but that wasn't because I didn't run an air filter lol).

I used to run mesh, but I managed to get an air filter in. Tight though.

Well the bend is on, its bloody tight lol but alot happier with a filter, test drive in abit

I've always been a fan of running filters, but after doing my td04 conversion last week I can see why most people don't run filters as its a mega tight squeeze! Gonna mesh mine for a bit I think if my turbo shits itself its no issue ;)

Where do you guys get the TD04 size 90* bends from ? Am having the same issue, got a HKS mushroom to squeeze in lol. Dont like the idea of mesh on a daily for the roads i use.

Lol ok mate off the top of my head I think it's 57mm that I got and then just cut it down

Sound, i'll double check and get something ordered up.

For now i just cut a circle out of an old HKS filter and strapped that around, it tries to get sucked into the turbo though lol.
