Valve cover stud removal

alright peps, whats the best way to get a snapped stud out from the head ?? And also what size are they m6 or mate does anyone sell them on here too???

Is it snapped inside the head or is some of the thread sticking out?

We sell new studs, they're only a few quid each.

It sticks out a couple of mm above the valve cover

Ahhh awesome iddy, i brought a set the rubber washer sets for it in preperation in doing this, just finding the time. But il have a stud off you dude

I had the same problem once and I bought a tool that gripped on to the bit of thread that was sticking out and tightened on to it with a rachet. That got it out but I really can't remember what it's called.

Pretty sure its called a stud extractor, mine saved my arse a couple of times aha

Stud extractor, I had one which snapped flush had to drill in abit then use same sort of tool

A flat headed screw driver, patience and a hammer tend to sort it for me lol just keep smashing it round until enough sticks out to grip a set of pliers onto ;-)

could cut a slit in it with a hacksaw then use a screwdriver?

the valve/rocker cover ones just unbolt out with a socket?

just undo the rest, take the rocker cover off and get a deep 10mm socket on it?

u can always do it the bangla banger way and weld a piece to the small bit that sticking out u will be able to unscrew it then
