Socks
The ones on the rack idle up the engine when the PAS pump becomes under load... I just U'd off the ports with a piece of vaccum line... make sure u blank the inlet off ports tho!

daniel_g
Right man, the port on the rack nearest the drivers side goes to a port on the vacuum rail, which sits/bolts under the inlet mani. The other port runs to a port on the throttle body, the vac port which is nearest the bulk head. Or alternatively just loop the two ports on the rack, and loop the two between the TB and the vac rail.
PaulStarletSR
so wtf do i do with the 2 am holdin in the pic?lol

I'm doing a PAS delete and not sure what to do with the vac lines. PS: not meaning to hijack the thread.
daniel_g
Yes lew you can do that. Loop the ones on the rack, and the one on the vac rail to the TB aswell.
Lew91
Ah nice one cheers mate, saves faffing around
daniel_g
Did you get hold of a non PAS rack, column etc. ?
PaulStarletSR
Where do the ones youre holding go to? 1 goes to a wee vac on the inlet and the other 1 goes down to a wee box thing next to the coilpack mate
Lew91
If its on the sr that little black box is basically nothing lol. It should have another line going to the charcoal canister.
daniel_g
If you have this still attached to the coilpack ignitor then get it in the fucking bin and block off the top TB ports. Just causes hassle and random vac lines everywhere. And the carbon canister that lew mentioned. This is the best pic i have atm of the vac pipes youre talking about. Lew91
He might not have them dan as there all air con crap. That's a handy pic of the rack vac lines tho. If it was me I'd remove the little black box along with charcoal canister but be sure to put a one way valve thingy on.Edit: isn't that other pipe something to do with the hi/lo boost solenoid? daveEP
Paul av got the pipes for your power steerin and know where they go so dont worry about that lol.
daniel_g
Yeah Lew ano, wasnt sure if he got all that shit still attached to the ignitor when he got it ? And defo get rid of the carbon canister shit too. That line may well have something to do with the hi/low solenoid. I had a few wee random solenoids but didnt fit them lol. You'll get there Paul mate
PaulStarletSR
cheers dave! cheers for the help boys

I’m having trouble with a few hoses. Swapped the engine in a Corolla. I don’t want to leave anything hanging. The two pipes I have a loose are apparently one for water and one for air. One of those plastic spirals is holding them together. @Jay send me a picture of the throttle. Number two is next to another hose which isn’t on the throttle but on the inlet right next to it I need to know how to connect them and where. Thanks Edited July 23, 2021 by Frankieflowers
