Sweet video that Jamie!

Low 10's a tad rich? on afr?

Was there anything as fast as u in that session? hehe. That 2nd white 205 gti had some poke tho tbf! Was a good lil tassle! Fun to watch!

Well Driven! :)

Lambda sensor wire broke at 4am the day I was going! Hence running rich.

and the 205 at the end has an evo engine, running 10.3 sec at pod @ 605bhp! Dunno what power he was running then though!

Nice driving Jamie, you were flying!

Don't suppose the CV issue is something us lower powered EP owners have to worry about?

How did you find the AD08s? What were your avg oil temps?

The only reason the cv grease melted is because of the heat from the brakes, the brakes weren't fazed at all for the whole session, but the energy has to go somewhere, therefore creates heat, due to the ksports not begin bothered about the heat they keep working and getting hotter, then got that hot the cv grease melted as such! Can't see it happening often, might have been due any way for all I know.

Found the ad08s to be spot on! Got some r888's sat here to try though!

Oil temps were at 100deg tops after hard abuse. But I'm changing thickness of oil now to a 10/50, will keep temps down and last longer on track :)

I know of an Evo engined 205 like that owned by the lad that runs constella motor sport or summit in lester

Yeah that's the one, rob Walton, who ownes Constella French car specialist. 10sec down the strip lol! Edited by Jamie1st

Try some brake ducting from the foglight holes Jamie? :)

Oil was nice n cool as the outside temp was nice n cool probably! :)

Well Done on boiling the cv grease tho lol!

Thanks for the info! Let us know what CV grease you buy, may as well do the same as I'm planning to change the GT's CV boots anyway!

I forget that was with an oil cooler right?

Yeah I'm going to look into it, I might try using the slates on the sides of the varis bumpers! We shall see!

What weight oil you using socks? Im onto 10/50 now, well will be when I do it this week

Haha yeah, it was the one I replaced after I snapped it at Santa Pod last year, maybe the grease supplied wasn't up to it

I will do dude,

Yeah that was with an oil cooler. My temps usually sit a little lower than that on track, but I think I need a thicker oil now its getting warmer weather

Interesting, I thought it would be a lot lower than that! How many rows does your cooler have?

Would having a bigger cooler be more beneficial or changing the actual oil you use?

I use Halfords 5/50 Fully Synth Motorsport Oil..

Basically Comma Motorsport Oil...

Its very good oil tbh, recommended to me by Ricky...

100deg is fine considering the car was being put through its passes for 15mins. 110+ is where i'd start to back off, even then, they say that the oil I use (Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5w/40 - now moving to 10/50) is good at 130deg without loosing it viscosity. I should imagine running lower boost levels etc you won't see anywhere near 100deg. In all fairness, last year at donnington I was only seeing max 90deg.

Bigger cooler would be more beneficial if the temps were too hot, but they're not. Another advantage though of a bigger cooler, it allows you to hold more quantity of oil.
