mikey4410 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Does the knock code mean that the knock sensors faulty or wiring OrDoes it mean engines experiencing knock ? Quote
H_D Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 It means the engine is knocking. You can test the sensor with a multimeter. The knock sensor can also go off if you hit a big pothole or bump at high speeds. Quote
Jamie1st Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 When mine was chucking up the eml light for the knock sensor it turned out to be a dodgy sensor Quote

daniel_g Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 If you have a set of swan neck spanners it gives you a bit more space from block.Make sure it doesnt touch the alternator + if youre round that way. Quote
Tha Dragon Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 how do you remove the plug from the sensor without taking the inlet mani off, i can reach it with my hand but can seem to get it off Underneath is the best way, there is a bracket that's connected by 3 nuts, 1 just underneath the "Knock Sensor" if i'm not mistaking it's 12mm or 14mm and the other 2 are connected underneath the "Intake Manifold" after that u can reach it easily. And with a 27mm Deep Socket just screw it off and your done hope this helps.
