Knocking when setting off

Still got this issue, drivers engine mount had had it and I thought it was that, replaced all with powerflex and still the same

I've noticed if I kinda lurch the car forward a couple of feet or so then harshly brake it will do it both on the harsh set off and when I break to a stop?

Have you checked the exhaust mounts for worn or split ? As that can make a knock I had it on my v

Retorque your camberbolts amd check your rear engine mount and wheelnuts. Id be havin a mate let the clutch out while I stand beside the car qith the bonnet up and handbrake on

Exhaust mounts all looks good, engine mounts I've just replaced for powerflex ones, was thinking maybe brake pad retaining clips?

Yeah I tried that mate, and my mate managed to slip of the clutch and back my car into a tree, hence I'm needing

If it didmt do it before you changed the engine mounts I would take another look at them and the rear mount to gearbox bolts

where the wishbone bolts to the chassis check that nut as they tend to come loose and sometimes when trying to tighten them back up they just spin
