Patches
My starlet has always had a small oil leak from, what i thought was, the sump. The sump has a big bash on the bottom of it so i took it off and resealed it (using hylomar blue which was a bad idea!) and made matters much worse it seems. So i bought a brand new sump and used a different sealer (loctite copper silicone) and the sump seems to be fine now, except there's still a leak coming from behind the crankshaft pulley The oil seems to be coming from that notch my fingers pointing at. Replace the oil pump and crankshaft seals?
AdamB
Remove the timing belt covers and you will be able to see much more clearly. These seals seem to be getting more and more common now so I would probably guess at either the oil pump or crank seal, but best to replace both while your at it. Patches
Fuck it might as well do the both crankshaft seals and the oil pump. Some oil near the gear box too. Hopefully that will sort it!
