150k Miles Is the engine still strong ?

150k miles on a turbo engine is pushin it in my eyes better give her a bottom end rebuild soon its the conrod bearings that have the most stress so rip of pump and fit a new set at a minimum but as said some do go for 300k km its a gamble

Any key things to look for, I'm off to view one tomorrow I already know of some faults. But what should I look out for ? (Generally)

just evrything really these cars get raped hard by almost all owners these little engines do suffer from raised boost ha ha i check for crash damage thats al i car about really the rest can be fixed if u get car cheap



just check the whole car and take a car entusiast that knows these beast with ya

I had a micra as a daily and that was nearly 20 year old and it was on 230k miles and that's the same sort of jap engine and I give it absolutely death on the limiter everywhere for nearly a year without servicing it or nout and it still ran as sweet as a nut

I think that's a little bit inaccurate lol

Not really it depends how heavy your right foot is if you give it hell 24/7 it will go bang like any engine and that mileage is mixed but still says it on the clock lol

No I mean a maintained engine will not last forever lol, but maintenance and driving with respect does help
