Fo'rilla I have no idea what this is, looks like some kind of filter?

Also I've had to unbolt it and let it hang to put a standard strut brace on, but it doesn't move cause it's held in place by the brace and the rubber filter pipe. Is this okay to do or not really? LOL,

Is it okay to leave it unbolted? Doesn't really move cause of the brace?

Bolt it back on and carefully bend the bracket it back to stop it fouling.

^^^^this, pretty common for everyone fitting an OEM front brace to have to bend the filter back out of the way. will probably rest up against the brace, mine does.
