gorganl2000
holly mo i never knew oil could make crunchy syncro go away is that only a short term fix ( 1 year ) ?? yeah colin...it worked great for almost a year...i only recently took out the box to get a full rebuildyeah i'd say short term fix...because the damage was already done in my case and i'm not certain if the heavy shockproof is gl rated for our boxes--which could potentially lead to more problems in the long run, Yeah that's the one I have. The lightweight one.And I'll be running it alone 100%Phil yeah i had the red color one i think yours is blue/green color?? Phil
Not much of an update but AnywaysNew tyres meant reroll arches - rears are way out now.Checking clearance on full lockFurther rolling / lifting required as we are still scrubbing In other news I've finally went for a bucket seat and harness - it's allowed in the road going class even though not required. Some one FIA approved motordrive seat and an in date approved genuine takata harness.Last but probably most importantly I bought a decent tow machine for race days Phil

Phil
how do the new tires compare to the toyo r1r you ran before? what brand and size are the new tires?...205/50/15? Anderson, they are maxsport rb5 tarmac tyres 205.55.15 (big) comparison wise ive no idea, but from cold def not as good as a 888 but will see how they perform this weekend as we have the next round of the sprint championship over here. gorganl2000
thanks phili have 2 new toyo r1r home, as i was waiting for the dealer to get more in stock from early last year...but i subsequently bought and run 4 kumho ku36 for over a year and i am very happy with them, so i never took them off lolol i love 888, but have never been sure how they would handle the rainy season on the road---in the dry they are great keep me posted on the maxsport performance when you get to test them in anger
TimD
Seat will make a massive difference, I'd be looking at a cage next though things can get quite claustrophobic if the roof caves in and your still strapped upright in your seat!
Phil
Seat will make a massive difference, I'd be looking at a cage next though things can get quite claustrophobic if the roof caves in and your still strapped upright in your seat!Agreed, though Cage already in.Towbar fitted tonight and merc servicedSupport vehicle ready - hopefully the starlet doesn't poop itself Phil Edited September 8, 2016 by Phil
Phil
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dGzmMqpbmN0Had fuel surge at the end which cost me some time but still set a good time.Ended up with 1st in class which was nice as I've never had a win at a sprint before. Now some picsSo scrutiny to start New steering wheel added to the bucket seat made driving her abit different in a good wayWee trophy for the carStopped off at my dads after and took a quick snap of the equipment, maybe having the trailer allowed me to push that bit harderMaxsport tyres worked well in soft compound hit decent heat in the fronts and the rear didn't go completely anywhere. Two more events left only a point in it for the championship.Phil
