ady2k5
Hello allI'm about to go for my first fuel top up soon as i've had the Glanza V for a few days now and when i got the Glanza it had already had quite a bit of fuel in it (half way between the quarter line and half way line)Anyways i have a few queries:How much approx would it take to fill up a tank from empty on Ron 99 at £1.02.9 per litre? How much mileage approx can i get on a tank full when driving on Lo Boost, under 3 revs and driving to and from work which is about 10 miles each way in mixed traffic? How many miles can be done when the low fuel light comes on?What kinda economy are you getting from your Glanza V Turbo, and whats your driving style, type of journey, mpg and any other info etc?Hoping to get some answers soon so i have a good idea of what i'm expecting. Many thanks
Mikey Jay
Will take about 35 litres to fill your tank up, so looking between £35-£40 for a tankAnd can go for up to 50 miles when the light comes on, depending on driving style
SiCaln
i find it takes £35 to fill the car and i get between 250-300 miles form that on occasional thrashing and short trips
ady2k5
i find it takes £35 to fill the car and i get between 250-300 miles form that on occasional thrashing and short tripsThat sounds good especially when you give it an occasional thrashing and short trips. I guess i should be expecting at least that with me running on lo boost and driving at low revs.
shelly_star
lol i can only get 240 max on mine, that's on every tank, either driving sensible and not lol.
StarletRick
a starlet has a 45 litre tank from bone dry. but it will read empty at about 40 litres. and due to the turbo, it will return milage depending on your right foot. youll get 300 miles from it if you drive sensibly. if you drive like me, youll get about 150 to a tank. shelly_star
i did do one whole tank driving sensibly right to see what i'll get........ and i still only got 240 out of it what's going on.
SiCaln
the later spec has a far more subdued ecu hence less fuel usage and less emissions
StarletRick
could be anything shelly, mine puts out arround 230-240 for ok driving, dont worry too much. im scared to think how much of a nightmare mine will be once its finished... full cycle on the injectors is 2.2 litres a minute ;[.... and i might need bigger ones.... ;[;[;[;[
shelly_star
ouch then u can watch your petrol drop like anything was in a friends Rex last night as he just got it and took me for a spin, he spend like 70quid in that day of petrol and it's empty, well he has been driving quickly lol. Mikey Jay
In the Levin if you accelerating hard you can see the fuel needle go down in the space of about 2 minutes (But is fun, so meh )
shelly_star
Still need to give my brother a race in the Levin, i have a feeling he might beat me, his car does have good torque. But my friend beat him in the GT off the lights, but they are having another go soon as my brother wasn't used to the car. Just a friendly race at night no cars around, we aren't doing anything silly
Mikey Jay
Yeah, have found from standstill the Levin doesn't due a huge amount in 1st gear, 2nd gear is mental though
paul w
You don't buy a turbo car to worry about economy, bit late now anyway since you've bought the car! When it's empty fill it up and stop worrying

Marc
I filled my car up yesterday in edinburg before i drove 60 miles to my house. I stayed at 50mph all the way for about 55 miles in 5th gear. The needle just budged. No joke i must have used about £4-5 if your lucky. I coulda got 400 miles outta the tank i say driving like that. No hard acceleration or top speed, a constant 50mph on the motorway. I had pensioners going past me shaking their heads and HGv's and car transporters overtaking me!
