Quick question guys someone is coming to view my car today sadly he goes if he takes the car his going to transfer the money in to my account am just wondering is this safe? As its over 5 grand?

It is yes if you see him do it. As far as I'm aware bank transfers are one way, he can't cancel it. The same as if he puts the wrong details in and it goes to a random account its a mission to try and get that back as the person who owns that account has to be chased up and told about it etc

Personally I would want him to do it and then wait for it to clear, some are instant, but some aren't.

my bank are weekdays only so if I did it today it wouldnt clear till the end of monday

The banks have improved there technology over the last 12 months which makes most bank to bank transfers immediate so dont let him leave till you have confirmed the funds are safe and sound in YOUR account

As mentioned it's perfectly fine but just make sure the funds are in your account before he leaves!

Yeah as everyone has said it's perfectly safe. My brothers glanza was bought by bank transfer aslong as you check the monies in your account before letting the car go.

I paid for my mapping at TD via bank transfer there and then too. Money went straight in.

it's probably safer anyway, who wants to count out £5k and hope there's no fake notes slipped in anywhere
