LooNy Posted November 25, 2013 Author Share Posted November 25, 2013 I rub the face down so nice and clean and don't use any sealent ? The gasket goes between cylinder 1 and 2 it's blows a inch gap so then there's no compression on 1 and 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

maddox710 Posted November 26, 2013 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Get a steel ruler and feeler gauge and take measurements all over the surface of the block make sure you write it down, then compare the results from in between each cylinder against each other I'd say 0.0020mm is the max limits of play any more and I'd say it needs re decking, I could be out in the measurement but a quick Google could confirm that Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Ryan_EP82 GT Posted November 29, 2013 Share Posted November 29, 2013 For future reference, the torque settings for oem headbolts are relavtively low and can cause the hg to not be sealed proper.. they should be 30% more for the small bolts and 40% more for the longer bolts.
