And JLF88 I thought about going built not bought but I want quality suspension Quote
JLF88 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Don't blame you, me too. I also heard any lower than 40 will need a change in shocks Quote
jimmymac101 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Sr's are lowered 15-20mm lower than the standard starlet na's anything lower and it's had the springs changed I may be wrong but that's what I have been led to beleave, I had sr springs on my NA it lowered it a little but not loads then moved to PI 40mm springs James Quote
ashley newbert Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 So how much are these pi springs and are they any good?? Quote
Gainzy Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 I had the Tein's and the ride height was still unsatisfying save up for coilovers it will make so much difference Quote
ashley newbert Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 I had the Tein's and the ride height was still unsatisfying save up for coilovers it will make so much differenceId use coil overs but there silly money to buy unless you know of some?? Quote
jimmymac101 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 (edited) Coilovers are worth there money anyday, even at £500-600 brand new and id never go back to springs ( unless brought on a car ) However the pi springs are £100-130 depending where you get them I thought they were great for the money but it's all personal preference I've heard tein say 50mm+ but never go that low :-/ James Edited February 23, 2014 by jimmymac101 Quote
Jamie5414 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Get some 2nd hand BC's/MiesterR's for £450~ Just wait for a set to pop up or a Glanza breaking with some on. Quote
ashley newbert Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 Ok guys cheers, coil overs it is (y) better start saving Quote
Gainzy Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 I wouldn't buy second hand one's if you manage to save say £400 might aswell save the bit longer for brand new with warranty as you never know how they have been handled, but that's just me lol Quote
ashley newbert Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Yeah makes sence really cheers pal! Quote
RobSR Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Teins are not what they say they are. Defo not 50mm. Like mentioned Pi ones seem to be the lowest, they say 40, but from what ive seen and when they settle its abit more. Not bad for the money atal. Quote
