jayep91 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 What's the crack with the prices of starlets?? Two years ago I picked this mint gt up with a years tax and test for £1500. Now all I see for that sort of money are shit boxes! Quote
theminiguru Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I have noticed the same buddy, I think the starlet is getting more and more popular due to the insurance being cheap for what the car is aswell as the fact that young drivers like the fact its turbo'd? Quote
Chris_GlanzaV98 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Sadly all the wee knobs are getting hold of them now also ragging the shit out them and selling them on ... Quote
jayep91 Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 I think you lads are right. It's a real shame these cars are getting into the wrong hands. Quote
theminiguru Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 it will only get worse until they keep righting them off and then the insurance group will go sky high! :/ Quote
daniel_g Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Its hard to find a good GT now, let alone one for 1.5K, the good ones are fetching decent money Quote
TrisK Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 But the mint examples willl just got up and up in value. Its a good time to own a good condition one that you care about Quote
jayep91 Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Wish I had held on to my one now. Quote
Coxxy_94GT Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 My gt turbo cost me 3.5 but to be honest i couldnt be more happy with it , its mint ! Also not bad for a first car Quote
Dean_mc88 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I picked mine up for 1200 and the body kit is shagged alloys curbed (genuine te37s) and interior plastics shoddy painted. however the engine was forged and had a few decent bits forged engine (TMD)hybrid turbofmicblitz turbo timergreddy boost gaugete37sbc coiloversfull toms kit (not the best condition) then I got my hands on a standard auto starlet no engine for 300 and started ripping it for parts (sadly as the shell was mint)I took a chance on mine because it had no paper work for the forged engine. also I can see it needs a few other bits like a full poly bush kit and a service. once its done though I should get good money for it but ill never sell it haha Quote
Hunty Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) I was very lucky with mine I paid sub £1000.00 for mine with tongs ct9 hybrid etc but that was off a mate after the piston rings went haha that was about 2 years ago though Edited February 26, 2014 by Hunty Quote
