ady2k5 Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Hello all.When i got my Glanza, it came with a few stonechips, these are mainly around the front bumper and some of the NSF wing. I presume they probably happened in Japan or whilst being drive all the way up from Southampton to Birmingham.Whats the best solution to get rid of these, my Glanza is a silver one. I've heard you can get some touch up paint, but you have to very careful when applying it, but does it make much of a difference when applied. What would companies such as Chips Away use, (although they are quite expensive and i've been told it could be around £75 a chip).Many thanks Quote

StarletRick Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 it wont stop curbing mate. its called armourfend or something like that. its a pain to apply though. if you dont clean it properly it can discolour etc. it has its pros and cons. google it to see what you think. Quote

Tintin_SR Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 no i wasnt thinkin of curbing as theres nothin could stop that.You ma be wrong there bud try TOYO Proxes T1-R as they have a lip that will fit the curb first thus stopping the curbing, I have them on my car and it works you have to hit the curb hard or have weird shaped curbs to do it with them on and I still have a brand new set of Proxes T1-R At home the older better ones oh yer think I will put them on soon Quote

Glanza Al Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Anyway back to "anti stonechip" lacquer. There is such a thing, BMW and Mercedes use it on their cars, its like rock to the touch and when polishing like HS lacquer (high solid) but has a slightly rubbery texture, thus causing stones to "bounce off" and preventing them from chipping it so easily.
