point is fhe rods and fte rods will take whatever boost a td04 can give them indefinitely with a good tune.

No chance a td04 needs the sort of revs that would try a fhe/fte rod (with a good tune)

So your rods arent a limiting factor.

4BAR you can't be serious...

Big boys run 8 lol

Was waiting for a pic to load up in that space haha. No i dont run 4 bar, and to the OP not that many folk run FHE rods but they are thick as fuck and i bet the ringlands will go waaaaaaay before FHE rods fail.

So just turn the boost up and up until it gets sketchy or stops making power

You dont need to worry about the rods, they will probably be the last thing to break.

I was joking when i said 4 bar.

1.2 bar or whatever will probably be a good pressure to run, but it also depends on what comp ratio you have, octane of fuel used etc.

  • 2 months later...

ok then i have decided to run 1 bar on my (5efhe>to>5efte)

can any one help me with this prob??

if i run a high comp boosted engine(5efhe stock) how much max boost i can put through a tdo4-hl?

Depends where/when the engine starts to knock, get it well set up and see how far it can be safely taken.

whats sort of fuel you running?

Phil
