rwdrev
why is it that when i get 205 black for my starlet it comes like gloss black with some tiny fleck of metallic, but my car is more metallic and grey than the crap halfords stuff. where can i get some proper paint that ACTUALLY matches my paint?!?!? Cheers
morgey
Is that the stuff they mix or can you get cans of the shelf? My local mixes some really good metallic stuff. Got about 30% metallic in it
rwdrev
the stuff they mix, the holts stuff, great quality paint, but nowhere near the colour. my local halfords dont have 205 in stock in there own cans Edited April 28, 2014 by rwdrev
Glanza-Ben
When I had my some parts sprayed there was two choices of 205 black at that body shop one had more glitter then the other
rwdrev
yeah, i was told this aswell, but i keep getting the more pure black and not the other 1. might have to go in and go mental at them, lol
crawleysam
If the it's anything like the halfords near me then you kick off and they'll endeavour to rectify the problem or at the least give you some freebies. The paint is only mixed by weights and it's not real accurate either, I had some paint mixed up for mine and wasn't anywhere near the colour. Best place is a real automotive shop or body shop as said before.
Jim*
We have a paint shop near me that can mix any colour into a can for you, not sure if they post?http://www.nrponline.co.uk
Arnold
I've been told you can have varying shades of the same paint code, so that doesn't really help. I got a 1A0 for my Glanza from Toyota and it's totally different to the car itself.
Gainzy
Get your paint from a proper bodyshop place it's the best way to get a colour match take the fuel cap off and polish it up take that, bumpers will always be a different shade to bonnet doors etc
rwdrev
looks like il have to go to somewhere better for paint then, cheers folks

But since I've had my glanza... its like the 205 rattle can is a darker shade of black

EPnick22
I work at Halfords. I mixed up 205 black with what the system told me to put in (even drops of pink) to respray my bootlid and you can't notice at all, looks totally standard. Take into consideration that most Halfords workers don't give a flying fuck lol
