Evening all!

Basically my speedo is years out and the needle bounces around like Rihanna's ass.. Was doing 80mph (Sat Nav) today but my speedo was at 180kph..

I have no speedo converter connected and I have the 180kph clock face

Talk to me

But if the speedo is the stock 180mph face and there is no converter.. Surely it should read almost right?..

Looking at the 110mph face.. When I'm doing 80mph it would read 110mph on there if when I'm doing 180kph on my current speedo.. I'm actually doing 80mph

I think 180kmh is about 112mph? Think anyway lol. So yeah if you're doing 80 and it says 112mph it's a little out :p. Not entirely sure why from the top of my head. It's all mechanical...

Might need to remove the needle, get up to a speed on the sat nav and then put it back on where it should be. Or maybe a little bit over but nowhere near as much.

Mine is 7 mph out at 120 and my corolla is 10% throughout the speedo range for reference.

My speedo is a country mile out too. Have a speedo convertor but it's at least 10-15mph out throughout the speed range. If I'm doing 70 (3500rpm in fifth) it reads around 85-90 on the speedo. :(

Bouncing needle sounds like a kinked speedo cable

I would have said the same as this, happened to me when I had my clutch changed! I'd source a second hand cable and start there....... Toyota wanted £110 for a speedo cable :o
