Anderj26
Hello everyone Buying a new project tonight.... Does anyone recognize it? Im a little worried as it could be a conversion! I will have a look at the vin plate tonight and see! Just wanted to know if anyone has seen or know anything about the car Thanks James
jimmymac101
it could be a lower spec V ( manual windows, manual wing mirrors, no wind deflectors ) ? would a conversion be a problem for you ? james Edited July 11, 2014 by jimmymac101
Anderj26
Morning I didn't know they made a lower spec V. Well I'm buying it as spares or repairs, Needs a head gasket apparently. Always wanted one in white as i have a black ep82 and a red n/A at my garage But i have a few spare engines lying so mechanically it wouldn't be a problem to change out ect. I just was a bit concerned about value. If it was a conversion it wouldn't be worth as much as a genuine V when i buy it or when i come to re-sell later on down the line? Maybe im just being daft but wanted a few opinions? Thanks for such a quick reply James
jimmymac101
i just done a quick car check and it says its never been exported so worth checking out Road Tax 12 Months £145.00Road Tax 6 Months £79.75Registration Date 25 August 2009Vehicle Age 4 years 10 months Exported Not ExportedRoad Tax Status Expires : 01 October 2014 (82 days left)MOT Status *New* Expires : 22 January 2015(195 days left)VIC Marker No if it is a conversion and your just after spares, you could make some money there....... stick shell back to standard with 4efe sell that and have spare 4efte in the garage with spare panels james Edited July 11, 2014 by jimmymac101
daniel_g
If it was registered in 2009 it suggests its an import.Has the base spec wing mirrors on it, so its either a p-spec Glanza or someone has put N/a mirrors on it.
H_D
check the vin plate - if it says made in Europe then its not an import, if it says made in japan it obviously is,
Anderj26
Yeah i paid £10 for a hpi check on my car checker just to be sure and it says it was an import! Surely no one would import a N/a and then convert it to a turbo would they? I am hoping they have had a wing mirror knocked off and just put a set of n/a ones on Wishful thinking Thanks James Edited July 11, 2014 by Anderj26
Fealscott
Everyone on about pov spec glanzas but I've never came across a genuine glanza without glanza mirrors, everyone always forgets to change to glanza mirrors when doing a conversion, truth will be in the vin plate as it will say 4efe or 4efte Suppose end of the day it's still got all the bits
