Dean_mc88 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Changed my engine loom over and it went straight forward. After I changed the loom the fuel pump and ignition has stopped working. It turns over and I'm getting power to everything. Any help welcome as it's confusing the feck out of me Quote
Dean_mc88 Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 I've checked all fuses but not to sure on the relays cheers Quote
jordan walker Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Did you ever fix this I have the same problem it's driving me insane? Quote
Duduglanza Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Check the earthing wires on the loom after the injectors. the oness that are bolted beside the idle cobtrol valve. I had same problem Quote
Stu Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) Assuming there isn't a power feed issue and the ecu and open circuit relay are actually getting power - The fuel pump and ignition are triggered from ecu which only runs them when it receives a signal that the engine is rotating from the cam angle sensor inside the dizzy. If the ecu isn't getting a signal then neither the fuel pump nor the ignition outputs will trigger. I'd make sure your pins to the dizzy are the right way around. As a test you can take the dizzy out and manually spin it by hand - you should hear the pump trigger and the injectors clicking. Edited February 5, 2015 by Stu Quote
