kavan-k Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Anyone any experience in having it done or know anyone that has? Have been considering it here for a week or so now, car needs a full respray which isn't cheap, but I can change the whole colour of the car for a fraction of the price! Apparently lasts 3-5 years! Problems I found where you have certain stuff to clean it with and then you wont get a really good shine off it as its mostly matt colours! Other than that it doesn't look that bad? Not to be confused with wrapping by the way Quote
akyakapotter Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Trisk is the man to ask about this stuff Quote
kavan-k Posted September 29, 2014 Author Posted September 29, 2014 Can we still tag on this? I dunno how lol Quote
_shaun_ Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 A local lad has his van done yellow with it. Didn't look to bad at all but when he went to clean it some stubborn marks made the dip start to to peel off once it starts to peel its game over ha! He had some let over and used it as a primer then laquered over it for his wheels and that went better he's not tryed to remove it yet tho Quote
lew777 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I've seen a gt that had been done it looked shit. Quote
StarletBuns_ep82 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I done it on my roof in neon pink and the sun has bleached all the colour out and it does not peal off anymore I'm having to use adhesive remover and let it soke and scrape it off I wouldn't recommend it to any one ! Quote
funny onion Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I think it's horrible, but that's just me Quote
kavan-k Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Thats all i needed haha, just seen how cheap it was and thought it came with a catch lol Quote
TrisK Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Im gonna do my track Glanza in it, but only cause i got it for £500. One of my good mates did his Mk2 focus RS in a matte plastidip laquer, looks really good Quote
kavan-k Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Have you any pics of it trisk? I mailed the guys again and they said no doubt it will last 3-5 years, and the stuff they give you to wash it leaves it mint. You just cant argue with the price! Quote
