crispyeel Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Hopefully someone can help me out with this. Probably just something I've not wired up correctlyI have just fitted my HDI front mount intercooler. I have also fitted a Blitz BovI have seen a video on YouTube about setting up the car so that you can have either Bov sound or turbo chatter by pressing the Hi-low boost button. I have connected the hoses up as I recon they should but I only get the blow off noiseInlet manifold-solenoid. Solenoid to Bov but it doesn't do anything differentCan anyone help me out? Here is my setup Quote
Mad Mike EP82 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 If you want chatter remove bov. Or put a stronger spring in bov so on low boost it doesn't have enough pressure to open. Hope this helps Quote
Ollieh17 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 does it chatter all the time or BOV? I did this and no matter what the bov would go off, i put it down to a shitty leaking bov(baileys) Quote
daniel_g Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Take the vac off the bov and see if it chatters then, it should. If it does then maybe the solenoid isnt operating Quote
crispyeel Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 Na it dumps through the Blitz all the time, on high or low. I'll try taking the pipe off the bov and see what happens. Is it okay to just leave the pipe off or should I block it off temporarily? A faulty hi-lo solenoid did cross my mind but just wanted to make sure I'd wired it correctly Quote
daniel_g Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Block the pipe off at the inlet or you'll get a high or hunting idle. Quote
Whitenoize Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Take your bov off,,block your vac line and take your air filter off the turbo best sound about Quote
crispyeel Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 Well if I block up the vacuum pipe coming off from the inlet manifold I get chatter changing gear at lower boost but still get the bov dumping at higher Would it be down to the fact that the bov is connected to the inlet pipe from the fmic piping?
