Turbo Goose
Well well well. I put a post up about my clutch slipping slightly a bit ago but then it stopped after couple of days and has been fine ever since.Turned out ive been running 229bhp through a standard clutch with no issues pretty impressive. Turbo Goose
I was told there was pretty slim chance it would be standard holding 229 but it was. Someone said 180 would be max for a standard clutch
Ryan_EP82 GT
Good to know mate I only put an exedy organic in about 5k km ago so when my td04 kit goes on the clutch is staying put!
daniel_g
Suppose its got a lot to do with driving style aswell. But yeah thats fair impressive
Lew91
That's what roughly 200bhp did to my standard clutch, it held out well for about a week then shit itself. I do have quite an aggressive driving style tho so probably that.
gorganl2000
the oem/genuine stock clutch has been used to run some relatively powerful cars in the past,,,however, people usually combined it with an uprated pressure platethis was to improve dirvability without going to an all out race/performance set uponce you are not abusing it constantly it will hold up for a while if you have the money, its better to get a proper clutch set up to match your needs, plus the prices have become more affordable nowadays
